Important Update: Changes to USA Import Tariffs Effective August 29, 2025
From August 29, 2025, the United States Government has introduced new customs requirements for all goods imported into the USA. The previous duty-free threshold of $800 has been removed. Now, all items shipped to the USA will be subject to tariffs (duties) determined by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), based on the value and country of origin of the goods.
What does this mean for Wisque customers?
- All shipments to the USA will now have customs duties applied at import.
- The amount charged will depend on the product type, value, and where it was made.
- These changes are mandatory for all businesses sending goods to the USA, regardless of the shipping provider.
